We cannot give enough thanks to everyone who supports us through monetary giving.
But Discovering Options gets a lot more than just money – we get peoples’ valuable time. Over the past year, in addition to our 88 mentors we’ve had more than 30 volunteers. Without them, our programs simply couldn’t exist.
Overall, Discovering Options puts 53% of all funds back into programs. Another 39% goes to administration – which includes the infrastructure that supports the programs – and 8% goes to fundraising expenses. Major expenses include:
$163,790.00 for salaries and wages (including program managers and classroom facilitators)
$116,171.00 for professional services (including program services such as accounting, audit services, technical support, and website hosting.)
$16,000 for annual rent of administrative offices and program space
